The chief reason you should consider ordering custom suits for yourself is because you'd look your best in a well-fitted formal suit. Any suit or shirt not custom tailored for you in specific would have fit issues, like it or not. Here are a few areas that invariably require alteration when you try to purchase a suit or shirt straight off the rack.
Shoulders
Off the rack shirts and suits generally have fitting issues in the shoulders and any alteration in the shoulders of a suit or shirt is quite expensive. Of course, a custom shirt or suit excuses you from the avoidable glitch.
Sleeves
Unlike custom suits tailor made to fit your length of arms, off-the-rack readymade suits generally have longer sleeves. You necessarily need to get sleeves altered and shortened. A custom shirt would allow only 1/2" to 1/4" of shirt cuff to be visible, whenever your hand rests at either of your sides.
